Qualifications
Background, experience and characteristics of a successful incumbent will include:
Degree, Diploma and/or background in human services/Social Sciences and/or relevant experience in a family related field
The ability to work with persons of all age ranges (infancy to adult)
A thorough knowledge of child development and a strong insight into child and family issues
Experience and competence with adults and children and demonstrated experience with issues of custody, divorce, access, high conflict separations, domestic violence, mental health, and family court processes
Excellent oral and written communications, written observation notes that may be used in family court proceedings and used by other legal professionals and community partners
Availability for afternoon, evening and weekend shifts in the Windsor and County site(s)
Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening are required. NVCI, CPR, First Aid Certificate, immunization record, medical and a valid Ontario Class "G" driver’s licence are required prior to working directly with clients.
