Program Description

WECAPP provides a safe, neutral, and child-focused setting where visits and exchanges between children and their non-residential parents or other significant family members can take place under the supervision of trained staff. This program supports families experiencing high conflict, court involvement, or safety concerns by minimizing stress and promoting the well-being of children.

Key Services Offered

Supervised on-site visits between children and non-custodial parents
Supervised exchanges for off-site visits
Intake and orientation sessions for all parties
Observational documentation and reports (available to courts when requested)
Trauma-informed, safety-first approach to family contact
Supportive, neutral setting to reduce conflict between parties

Target Population

Families involved in custody/access disputes
Children requiring safe, neutral environments for parental contact
Parents or guardians under court orders requiring supervised access or exchange
Families where concerns exist around violence, substance use, or high conflict

Referral Pathways

Court-ordered referrals
Lawyer or mediator referrals
Self-referrals when all parties consent
Child protection referrals
Community agency recommendations

Ensure the physical and emotional safety of children during access or exchanges
Promote healthy child-parent relationships where appropriate
Provide neutral observation and documentation to inform court or clinical decision-making
Reduce exposure to parental conflict for children
Support families navigating the challenges of separation and divorce
